Please help Identify Beetle.. Wife says roach I say beetle..

I found this at the bottom of our stairs outside. It's about 3- 3 1/2 inches. I live in Salinas, Ca. which is on the central coast. I tried explaining it wasn't a roach but she won't listen (suprise suprise) so i need some outside support lol.

Looks like a long-horned beetle in the family Cerambycidae. Not sure of the species.
