For lizard A I'd definately go with the BTS, preferably a captive bred one. Savannas may be a bit cheaper, but they can be a headache, need big expensive cages and they eat a LOT. The BTS are omnivorous which is kind of fun in my opinion. I think there are certain subspecies which stay smaller than others.

For lizard B a fire skink would be cool, but then you'd have 2 skinks. You probably could find a male crested gecko at an expo for pretty cheap- I've seen tailess ones go for $25. They make really awesome pets and are usually pretty tame but not always. Also, a Rankin's dragon would be cool, but I don't know how much they cost. They're basically mini-beardies.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

Not even a 'thanks for the opinion'.... Not even a 'your opinion sucks'...

srry, i like the BTS very much, its just i cant find good, inexpensive(generally) high quality breeder of blue tongues. How big of a cage do you need for a fire skink?

I guess I'm lucky, I can find lots of BTS at my local show.
The fire skink gets about a foot long, I've heard people say that a 20 long would be ok. If I were you I'd try and spring for something with a bigger 'footprint', maybe even a 40 breeder.
