Blue Darklings photo and question ~

Tektum Oct 19, 2006 01:16 PM

Wondering if anyone has information on these Beetles as far as captive care is concerned. I have had this pair for over one year and they've recently begun breeding. I don't even know if i'm giving them the best they can have.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, Leo

I believe that they are omnivorous. They'd probably do well on plant compost (pesticide-free).

There isn't much info on the net, so I'd say to contact Darrin at the link below:

Hi and thanks for your quick reply, I appreciate it. For a minute, I was beginning to think I was the only one left on the planet into Invertebrates! I found a couple of fiery Searchers over the summer, I will be posting some pix later. Thanks again for the info and the link. Leo
