A colorful coleoptera to identify ???

pilonm Mar 03, 2007 09:16 AM

Hello,

Here is a series of pictures of a colorful coleoptera took last august 31st at the Great Meadows National Refuge in Massachussets near Concord...

When I was close to him, he raised his legs like this in order to impress me...

Is it possible to identify it (family, genum, species)?

Thank you very much in advance!
