I got my first Vietnamese centipede about week ago. Can someone tell me if I got him in the right setup? He is in ten gallon fish tank. I am using the reptile Jumgle Mix top soil for his sub with some moss. I have also give him a half log and water dish. For the heat he got heater pad. The temp is about 75 and Humitly is about 75. Is the heat and humitly ok for him? Would he do better with higher temp and hum. He is from the jungles of Asia. If I do need more heat what is the best way to give it to him? I have also been dusting his food with some Calcium and Vitamin stuff made for reptiles. Is this a good idea or waste of time and money. Am I doing good job of looking after my centipede? Your set-up sounds OK. Make sure the water is shallow & the dish is low-rimmed, too. Make sure that you only have the heat-pad on the last 1/3 of the tank, so there is a gradient. There is no need to dust your prey insects, as centipedes will most likely get little calcium-dust within their mandibles; also, too much calcium can be detrimental to them. Just gut-load your insects with high-calcium foods ie: collard, mustand, turnip, dandelion greens, un-medicated chicken laying mash, etc. at least 24-48 hours prior to feeding to the centipede.

make sure u have a secure enclosure, high sides, don't want one of these guys running around in your house . Can reach lenghts of 8 inches.Mine escape 0.o"
