worried about the mites infesting my gecko.

i have a jungle setup for my Crested gecko and i bought this giant black pede today because i was told it eats the poop and would just be a cool addition to the cage.. ive read that they wont affect reptiles but ive also read about populations of mites going totaly nuts and taking over... so whats the deal? thanks a ton....... ernie

I never kept gecko in my life so, I have no clue what mites would do to a gecko. You do have cool idea! Mites do not harm millipedes. I have never worried about mites before. I have hear of people washing millipedes in cool water to get the mites off. By pouring water over the millipedes body. Don't keep the milliped under the water for a long time.
