Is it possible somebody could give a list of hardy plants to grow inside a 10 gallon tank for my millipede? Does anyone have planted tanks? THanx in AdVancE DENNIS

My millipedes and roaches are pretty picky when it comes to plants, but one thing they go nuts for is basil. I don't know why, maybe it's the strong smell. You might have trouble growing it in there though, it would probably be gone in a few hours.
If you're looking for plants to decorate with that they won't eat, you might want to try parsley. My pedes won't touch it for some reason.

I put chinese evergreens, aloe vera, lemon grass, succulent plants and anything that has dark green leafy leaves on it in case one has a female that lays eggs and the babies have something to munch on. Just make sure there's enough plants to put in the tank. For the past number of months I've been using one of those Ultra Sonic Foggers to re-create a rain forest effect. When one goes on a short vacation one doesn't want to come home to see his/her's prize collection dehydrated to DEATH!

I have it to where the fogger is at one end of the large 20 gallon tank in case the pedes don't want to be mist on constantly. They can always move away from the "rain"... anymore questions?

I've got about 10 tropical plants that i baught from the local grocery store in with all my North-American Black Millipeds and aren't haveing any trouble at all.

but my millis are only about 3-4 inches long.
if you have big ones, the results might be different.
