Really weird centipede...

angelawina Sep 09, 2004 09:52 PM

Ok, to be honest, I am not a big "bug" fan. I am terribly allergic and scared beyond belief by spiders and such, but I do have respect for all creatures, and will fully admit that with out insects, this world would fall apart... and some are really cool . But I do not appreciate being attacked. My apartment has really bad water damage, mainly in the closet, and the other day, I opened it and this HUGE centipede lunged at me, and then ran away. OK, so I exagerated, but he did run towards me in a aggressive way, causing me to almost knock over my frog tank! Any who, I really want to know what kind it is, is was scary but cool. I found a picture of one whose legs were similar, but the body was waayy off. It was about 3-4in, dark body (don't remember color of body), and it's legs were yellow and black banded!! The first 3 or 4 legs were longer than the rest, and if I remember correct, it was only those first set of legs what were yellow and black. Anyway, sorry it was so long, but I feel that details and a good story are the key! Any pictures or names would be greatly appreciated!

First of all, you have obviously exaggerated because no insect is going to attack you unless provoked, and even then, most prefer to just run. Second, it can be hard to identify centipedes just by description, so if you could get a pic of him or somethin then somebody will definately be able to help you
