Actually im in Central Texas.Recently moved from Southern California. I used to find lots of S.Polymorpha there. This is the first pede i have found here in Texas so far.
Yes, that definitely looks like: Scolopendra heros castaniceps. I used to live in S. Calif. too. Lots of interesting insects & arthropods down there.
Reminds me of my S. gigantea-lived 10 yrs.
