The Florida Blue Centipede, or Hemiscolopendra marginata, is a moderately sized centipede native to Florida. It is most comfortable in terrestrial regions with moderately high humidity, around 75%.
The Florida Blue Centipede, like other centipedes, is a predator. Because of this they are prone to bite, and their bite can be quite painful. Make sure that their housing has a secure lid, as they are prone to escape. Some hobbyists recommend this species to beginners.
The Florida Blue Centipede is an attractive centipede with gray-blue coloring. Mature specimens will have an average length of between two and four inches.

This species seems to do well with humidity maintained at approximately 75 percent.
