Slightly embarassing possible problem?

Hi. This is my first post on this forum, and I'm sorry if I come off silly or ignorant. My African Giant Black Millipede has been doing this thing lately, where he defecates on me every time I pick him up. Every time. He hasn't done this in the past...is there possibly something wrong, or is it just irritating? Thanks.
