I've been looking into millipedes for a week or so as a new pet, and I think I have decided to get one. I do have a couple questions which I can't find answers to. Most importantly, do all millipedes get/have mites, or just some? This is the ONE thing about getting one that I don't like. 200 legs: cool, mites: creepy/gross. Secondly, where can I get a cool one? I'd like to have one that will be 'out and about' as much as possible and it would be nice if it also had some sort of cool coloring, though that isn't a must. Is it possible to get a big, colorful, mite free millipede that will walk around and doesn't mind being held? This will be my first, so it shouldn't be a kind that's TOO hard to care for.
