Centipede ID

I just moved to dominica (west indies) for medical school, i would like to know what species this is.

ferocious looking critters....what would i feed it if i caught one?

It could be what's known as a "Haitian giant centipede," a species of Scolopendra. Basically, it will eat anything that moves that it can overpower: bugs, mice, birds, lizards--you name it. Hispaniola is home to centipedes that can reach 30 cm ( 12 inches ) in length. Just fyi, you don't want to be bitten by one of these--it is VERY painful.
