My son caught a large green grasshopper and we placed it in a habitat filled with one inch of sand, toilet paper rolls and fed it bran flakes and some orange. I have read on the cricket forum that cat food, fish flakes and carrot are also useable for crickets but does this also apply for grasshoppers? Are there any special care issues when caring for a grasshopper?
