has anyone ever had a pet that no one else thought it was just a bug? i have. once when i was 8 years old i was running around in my back yard when i saw a big 3 1/2 inch grasshopper. it was very colorfull with brown, black, red, and some yellow. i captured it and took it into my screened-in porch. we had some plants in there for it to eat but to make sure we had the right kind i got some from out side. i named my new pet herbirt. he actually got very tame! i would hold him and he would eat leaves out of my hand. i loved my new pet! i had him for 6 months and then one day my friend walked in to the porch and when the door flew open herbirt jumped out. i could have went over and picked him up but i wanted to let him make his choice. i watched herbirt go away. i wish i could have another grasshopper like herbirt, i just cant find anyone who is selling them, and i cant find one in the wild.
