I looked in the mirror and found a brown spider sitting on my head. It looked like a recluse so I was careful when I knocked it into the sink. I didn't have anything to kill it with and didn't want it to scurry off while I fetched something so I just washed it down the drain with hot water. Whether it was a recluse or not... it looked like one enough to scare the poo outta me. I'm VERY allergic to EVERYTHING.

I'm just wondering how it got there... how long it was hitchin a ride... and if it bit me and I just don't know about it yet.

Just thought I'd share...

What area do you live in again? It sounds like recluses aren't supposed to be in your area.

I live between Las Cruses NM and El Paso TX. I hope they aren't here... but it sure did look like one.

You should have a look at the webpage http://www.hobospider.org
If you scroll the site down, you'll find a link to an excellent recluse page, which has a brown recluse photo, as well as ranges of other recluse species.

So are you saying that they are in my area? Thanks for the link. I look it up shortly.
