Where can I send this spider?!

lisa_and_mark Sep 15, 2003 08:59 PM

Does anyone know who to contact at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada? Or another similar place nearby? I have a dangerous spider here, I think it's a Southern Black Widow (definatley a widow, just not positive on species). I obtained it from a local grocery store (it came in with the fruit, this is not the first time) because I didn't want it killed. I have two young children here and although the spider is well contained, I would like to find a permanant place for it ASAP. As much as I would like to just give it away, I do not want to be held responsibe for anything that may happen to the person who takes it if they do not keep it properly. So if anyone can help me please contact me offlist if possible at waterlooherpsociety@hotmail.com.

Thanks
Lisa

I suggest that you post at the arachnopets.com forums. They have a classifieds section where you can advertise your free widow. There is also a classifieds section at www.petbugs.com

GO FIND A FIELD FAR AWAY FROM YOUR CHILDREN AND LET IT GO. JUST BE CAREFUL. JUST DRIVE TO YOUR NEAREST HOSPITAL.
