I JUST NOTICED TODAY THAT ONE OF MY FEMALE LEO'S HAD POOP STUCK TO HER VENT. WHEN SHE GOT IT OFF THERE ARREARED TO BE SOMETHING COMING OUT OF HER VENT. SHE'S NOT AS ACTIVE AS NORMAL AND I KNOW SHE NEEDS TO BE SEEN BY A VET BUT RIGHT NOW IT'S NIGHT TIME. IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS OR INFO I'D LIKE TO HEAR IT PLEASE.
THANK YOU.

Sounds like an anal weevil. They live in the vent area and crawl out at night to lay their eggs. Stay up and watch your geckos vent area all night. When the weevil comes out and goes to lay the eggs, catch it and kill it.

Just kidding.

Whatever it is I think will wait til morning. Are you SURE it is a female? Something besides feces coming out of the vent area sounds like hemipenes...only males have those.

Hi,

Kinda a weird question but did the stool pull on the vent area when it finally came off? If so, the object hanging out of the vent maybe part of the intestine itself? I actually had a buddy that had this happen to her gecko... I would really get your little beastie looked at... Hope this helped.
