Relocating a Black Widow and eggsack?

PFish Apr 13, 2006 04:45 PM

Hello. I have a black widow spider living on some field equipment I use with my job. It not has an eggsack with it. Is it ok to relocate both the spider and the eggsack? Will the spider abandon the eggsack if this happens? Also, where is the best place to relocate it?

Thanks.

While they will guard the eggsac, they really have nothing more to do with it, so you can relocate it. Put it somewhere sheltered if you want, so the hatchlings won't get snapped up before they can get to cover.
