I thought it was a flea or chigger bite on my upper thigh a couple days ago but now it is larger and has a dark ring circling it. No pain. Could it be something besides a brown recluse? Not looking forward to my leg rotting off.

What up/down profile has it developed? Is it swollen or sinking? What is the center of the area like: is it raised in the red center, or is the center a little dip/crater shaped depression? Is there tenderness anywhere?--around the red rim, at the center, elsewhere? Are you experiencing nausea, persistent headache, or any other symptoms? Does it burn/ itch / ache ?
And where are you located?
A secondary, perhaps clearer picture would also help.
