I am fairly new here and I was having an issue with two butterflies I caught, and asked if some one could help me identify them, and to my surprise, only one person jumped at the chance to help, and he wasn't even sure...........So if I'm not welcome here, I will find someplace else to post........PEACE, Tonja

when did you post this? I see no post from you (under this user name) on this page which includes posts all the way back to October 2003.

As for responses this is not the quickest moving forum and I have found not all that many "regulars." I seem to post the majority of responses and I do not recall this butterfly problem you are referring to. Are SURE it was this forum???

tonja - upon doing a search for your user name I found a thread between you and me when you were asking about what to raise with your daughter. I replied to you at length and with a lot of information. Frankly, it was YOU who dropped that ball after I sent you to several websites, specific to your area, and never heard from you again. That is a frustration for me often on these forums b/c I try to help with thorough information and/or wonder how a poster is making out with a project, rearing, i.d., etc. and then they simply disappear.

Again, no sign of your user name on this forum for butterfly i.d.

Hi, I posted under tommyboy, with a couple of pictures, one of a butterfly and a skipper.......I believe...........Thank you for helping me in the past.....my daughter and I now have a butterfly garden and the butterflies are very plentiful........I post under tonjasturn now.........Thanks, Tonja

I recall seeing those inquiries but it was during a time I had little time to reply and saw that someone else had. Then the thread just got too far down.

For future reference if someone doesn't post right away or is unsure you can simply begin a new thread so it "surface's" again Also, once someone posts with a suggestion (re: satyr) you can go to google image search (just pick the "images" tab on google) and type in the name.
