how do i keep them alive and or get them to become the moth? any help appreciated.

Do you mean silkworms as in Bombyx mori that are used for feeders for herps? Or do you mean silk moths (as in luna, cecropia, etc.). I am going to guess you mean the Bombyx. The main things is that they only eat mulberry leaves or an artificial chow that you cannot make yourself but need to order. if you have that going the next thing is to keep things CLEAN! they are easily contaminated, if too humid. here is a good site with info.
