Found this big fuzzy guy in the middle of a mall. It's alive and has a strong grip, but tip of wing is tore.
A real beauty...would like to do what is right.
Any help would be appreciated.
I thought I would be able to put in a photo, but do not know how.

ROOKIE ON BOARD
So we are talking about a huge winged creature. Brownish rust fuzzy body. Brown wings with grey on the bottom half of botton wing . Large cirle on each wing, bottom circle black with yellow ring. Top circle transparent with willow ring around it. There is also some pink by the head.
Did I say rookie?

Well the rookie helped herself on a loney Saturday evening.
With all the great help you folks offer to each other, I found the type of moth.
Polyphemus moth (Antheraea polyphemus)
I still do not know what to do with it, does not seem like it will live.

Poly's are just beautiful, aren't they? They are the only wild slik moth that is indigenous to all of US (except 2 states).

These creatures do not feed in their adult stage and live for about a week or so. The males have large, very feathery antennae and the females antennae are much slimmer. If you can post that pic I can tell you male or female. I would suggest letting it go to mate and/or lay its eggs in the wild. The torn wing will not impede its flight

to post a pic you first need to upload it to the gallery or have it uploead somewhere else on line after that:
if you already have one in the KS gallery you should be able to post it in the body of a message.

In the message edit window scroll all the way down and you will see "Select Image from Photo Gallery" click on the arrow and choose your photo.

***Another way is to go to the gallery (or site where you have your pic)
***bring up your photo
***right click on it and select “copy image location”
***go to message body back here
***type what I put in bold except without the quotes:

"Image"
