ID this bug please

My sister sent me pics of this inchworm type of bug that she found in Florida. Some people think that since i know a little about reptiles that I know about every creepy crawly. Oh well, if you can identify this little guys, I would appreciate it.

It is definitely a spanworm/looper in the Geometridae family of moths. Not living in the south (I am in NH - and keep herps, too! Also, know my bugs pretty well)

These are cool because they can make themselves look just like a twig on a tree. Here is a link to those of the northeast and may give you a direction. If you friend is really determined to find the specific species she could bring it - or photos - to the local University Extension
