Noctuidae or Geometridae???

Hello all,

Here is a moth photographied at Sherbrooke, Quebec (near Vermont) last June 30th.

What a puzzle!!! Is it a geometridae or a noctuidae?

Which species???

It is a noctuid called panapoda rufimargo
