Ok, I had one male and 2 female carolina mantids. I got the male to mate with these two girls, and everything went great. No deaths or injuries. Then I found two more females, and another male. I put the male I had just found in with the third female. I came back a while later and found that she had eaten everything of the male exept for wings and legs. So today, I put the other male in with her. I came back a while later, and noticed they were mating. Then I noticed there was no head on the male. He had got his job done, but lost his head doing it. Why is this girl so much more aggressive? Do they just have different personalities? I also noticed that her abdomen is more oval than the others.
So I got 3 out of 4 of the females to mate. Still one more, and I dont think Ill be able to find another male.
