What kind of mantis was it? Very young nymphs can die for not obvious reason.
Hi Rick it was a giant indian mantid (Hierodula grandis), i know some die but my other is doing fine and both were kept in the same conditions its just dishearting when you lose one. I am trying to get another one at the moment but finding it very hard.
Yeah it sucks to lose em. I just lost one of my new african nymphs. He just went missing. Not in his tank. So I have no clue what happened. Lid was not removed or anything.
hi sorry to hear about you losing one to, was he in the tank on his own or was he in with another one ? .I have kept mine seperate because someone told me that they can eat each other.I still have not been able to get hold of another yet but i am going to keep trying.
