Mantids at exotic animal shows

tigermantis Jan 25, 2005 07:08 AM

Question for experienced mantid keepers: how often do mantids show up at exotic animal shows in the USA? Have any of you visited herp shows and noted a variety of mantid species being offered?

Hello,
I have seen several species available at reptile shows here in NY at the white plains reptile expo. They have had Phyllocrania Paradoxa (Ghost Mantids), Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii (#9 flower mantis),Hierodula sp. (giant sp.) and Sphodromantis Lineola (African mantis).

Thanks

Thanks,
Andrew
