Care Questions?

ltldrgn13 Sep 15, 2005 02:19 PM

My 7 year old son has caught two Praying Mantid over the past month. Right now they are each in the HUGE peanut butter jars with holes in the lids. We have some dirt and grass, a small plant, and some sticks for them. We have been feeding them at least one middle to large cricket (from the pet store) everyday. Is this ok? Can we house them together? My son would like to set up a 5-10 gal terriuam for them if we can house them together. If not we have thought about trying to find some kind of glass tank with a glass divider.

We have (or have had)lizards, frogs, mice, ferrets, fish, cats and dog so we aren't new to the whole pet thing.. or terriuam.

Thank you for your help.
Venus

Oh ya these are just common green praying Mantid for Idaho.

You cannot house them together cause they'd eat one another. go to www.mantidforum.com for more help. there are a bunch of hobbyists there and could answer all your questions.
