Stick bug nightlight

I have some indian stick insects which are usually only active at night. If I used a red or blacklight bulb do you think I would be able to observe their night time behavior?

You can do that, but be aware of possible over-heating of your phasmids.

Thanks. I've been using a mini fish tank hood for light and it doesn't produce too much heat. Maybe I'll give it a try and see what happens.
