i had a chinese mantis ootheca and i incubated it in a plastice container with damp napkin on the bottom it was on a stick and i left it and put the whole thing in the incubator because i dident want to damage it.i left it there for 4 months and it dident hatch temps were about 65.any way i cut it in half and in every little section there was orange goo.was it fertile or not.i had the mom for 3 weeks before she laid it.amd she was with no male

If it didn't hatch, it wasn't fertile. If fertile, they hatch in 8 weeks at most.
