My daughter has what I believe is an annam stick bug. It is down to only 2 legs and although seems to be surviving only I am curious to know if this is a normal part of molting or if the legs will regenerate? She is worried for her poor bug. Also how long is their life expectancy? She has had this one for almost 1 year.

In some cases, the legs will regenerate providing that there is enough humidity & warmth during molting. With just two legs left, it may still survive as long as it's eating vegetation.

For any info pertaining to this species, you can use one of the many search engines available. Ex.: phasmids, annam, care, etc.
