Maeclays Spectre - prickly stick insects

Hi,

I've just got some Maeclays Spectre stick insects and was reading that you can feed them of guava leaves, which is a member of the myrtle family. I wondered does anyone know therefore if I can feed them common myrtle? (Myrtus communis)
