giant cave roach canabalisim! HELP!

tyrel Oct 28, 2004 10:46 PM

my roach nymph was shedding today, and was in the same position for a long time. i came in later to check on him, and he had fallen off his log and was being eaten by a cage mate. he was dead when i found him, but im not sure if he was alive or dead when the others started eating him. any thing i can do to prevent this in the future?

(to tell you the truth, i think his head was stuck in his old skin.)

Roaches getting stuck in shed in a common thing. Usually its related to poor humidity or not enough space. Roaches will eat there own if not properly feed and hydrated. I would say more fruits and veggies, more misting, and some climbing spaces.
