maclen Feb 14, 2005 06:24 PM

how do i get rid of these little red weevils in my roach cages?
it's impossible to get each out by just using tape, or pulling them out one by one or anything like that. any ideas? thanks

I would try to remove most or all of your roaches to a clean holding bin or jar-depending on how many roaches you have. Make sure they are free of the pest arthropod. Throw into the bin/jar a few clean pieces of egg crating or crumpled paper for the roaches to hide.

Wash out the contaminated tank/bin with a sponge or scrungee pad & very warm water mixed with a squirt of dishwashing detergent. Scrub all sides and corners thoroughly. Rinse out ALL detergent & debris with very warm, but preferably hot water. Dry the bin/tank and then return the roaches. Be careful to not use contaminated egg crating, mulch or other substrates.
