I found out that it was the chicken mesh. the thing is the deaths are still happening. they have slow down a lot but I'm still getting a lot more then normal. I also have noticed that live ones are eating the heads off the dead ones. is this why I'm still having more deaths. I use a dust buster on it everyday to get out all the dead ones. so what now. do you think there dyeing from eating on the dead ones and maybe the dropping that are left from the sick ones. I put them all in a new inclosure and put all new creates in. so give me your info and maybe some other things to try.
thanks for you help peach

If the deaths were from the chicken mash, then most likely it was the medicated type. I would suggest to collect all of the living lobster roaches, clean out their caging thoroughly with dishwashing soap & hot water; rinse thoroughly with water & dry out. Install the roaches again. If the roaches tend to be feeding on the heads of the dead ones, then that indicates they need protein. Supply protein with dog chow (no dyes or excessive fat); cat chow (no dyes or excessive fat), non-medicated chicken laying mash or other grain-based mashes w/o medication added.

I feed all of my roach species with mostly vegetables, fruits; these supply water; secondarily, grains, such as oatmeal, baby cereals fortified w/vitamins, then dog chow &/or cat chow-no dyes or excess fats.
