Emerald Skink with White spots

angelawina May 28, 2003 03:27 AM

Hello. I am in charge or the reptile section at a new pet store in town. I know lots about frogs and reptiles, but I have never seen this before. Our baby Emerald Skink has white spots all over it!! I don't know if its a fungus or mites or what. They are on the tips of his spikey scales. I am really worried about this little guy, and could use all the help I could get!!! Thanks!

starting to shed? I have an emerald swift and they seem to look crapy pretty long during a shed they shed here and there, not all at once, and it looks like dull whiteish areas of skin, I don't know if this is what is wrong with your, with no pic it is hard to tell. But for the heck of it spritz him with some water from a spray bottle and see f it helps to remove the skin, if it does not appear to be just skin, than maybe something IS wrong and he should be seen by a professional. :0) Eve
