New To The Cresteds, I Have A Couple Q's

OneTwoManyHerps Oct 13, 2003 08:10 AM

Hello everyone, I just was at the NARBC Chicago show and purchased 1 normal and 1 dark fire cresteds. I have a few questions that I would like answered not from a book but from people who have these herps....
1)What flavor baby food to use with cresteds?
2)Is the T-Rex Sandfire Super Food CGD any good?
3)If the CGD is good, is it ok to use instead of cricks and baby food?
4)Are wooden dowels ok to use in the cages?

2: yes, It is very good.
3: yes, It is ok touse instead of crix or babyfood. It is a complete diet that was designed to be fed exclusively.

Drop me an e-mail and I can send you a full guide on crested geckos, a little extra reading that might answer some more of your q’s. I personally like a crix diet supplemented with fruit once a week or so, esp for geckos under a year. I have used the CGD a few times and wasn’t thrilled with it, but that’s me. Oh and I use wooden dowels in most of my cages, work great and easy to clean . Best of Luck.
