Very cute! Your cats are gorgeous, and the little battle on the vinegar jug was adorable. They certainly do like fighting on the highest points possible.

Insects breathe through pores called spiracles on the sides of their body. When they're submerged in water, they can actually close the spiracles with valves. So it's hard to drown insects like cockroaches, but sometimes it happens. Maybe the one that died in your water dish had other roaches keeping him down under for too long.

Is that a hairless dog (rat terrier?) in that aviatar there, or a bat.. or.. some alien?

And I saw your web page - you raise millepedes? Giants? I have been looking for something called a Texas Millepede that I saw in a petstore as a young girl. I got one, didn't know enough about it and - it drown! (Hmm... is there a pattern here?) Anyway, have you heard of the Texas Millepede?

That's actually a picture of my dog. We're not sure what exactly she is, but she looks like a bull terrier.

Texas millipede can be anything. You guys have a lot of different kinds of millipedes down there. Based on what's been around in the pet trade, I would guess Orthoporus or a polydesmid, but it could have been something entirely different.
