New-born dragonfly id needed???

pilonm Aug 10, 2006 02:13 PM

Hello,

I got the chance (there is several weeks) to photography this new-born dragonfly at the Carbonneau Marsh (Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada (near Vermont)). Is it possible to identify the family, the genus and maybe the species from the pictures??? And about the sex??? I took also a picture from the "exuvie " in french (what is the english term for the abandonned skin?). I was not there when she left it (maybe next time I hope!).

And, is there a good book about Odonates from Eastern America/Canada out there???
