California Natural

mewchelle Mar 16, 2003 08:46 PM

Hello

I am feeding my kitties California Natural food. I was debating between that and Innova, but here I read that the same company that makes Innova also makes California Natural. Is this correct?

Hi Michelle, Yes, I believe that Natura is the parent company of these two cat foods. They are both excellent, nutritional cat foods but a little difficult to find. Usually the store that carries one will carry both. You might want to feed your cats both of the foods for a variety. I feed both canned and dry - one can between the four of them per day. The canned California Natural is really pricey in my area ($1.29 per teeny little Fancy Feast size can) so I usually just get the Innova canned which is more affordable. The tuna size can is only about 80 cents here. Since Simba had an UTI, I feel that canned is a necessary part of their daily diet to insure that they get enough water. Problem is that Simba is the one who doesn't care for canned food but I'm still trying to get him to eat even a little. Below is the website to the Natura products:

Thanks for the info! I am amazed...I've never heard of a cat who doesn't like canned food LOL! I'll be sure to check out the link you posted. So far, my cats don't seem to be eating much of the California Natural dry food. I know that premium foods require less consumption to get the same nutrition, but the food has hardly been touched. I may keep an eye on them and try the Innova as well to see if they like that a little better.

Thanks again!

Michelle

My cats greatly prefer the regular innova over the California Natural, but it is also more fattening. I switch around between the lite Innova, the regular Innova, and California Natural.
