king mealbeetles????

i had some left over king mealworms i found last night that fell behind my cage. when i opened it up i saw a bunch of black beetles scurrying around. can i feed these to my lizard? i just think that this is so weird i never knew that meal worms were larva at all!!

Yeah isn't that weird. I've caught them in what I think is called the pupa stage too. They're white, wierd looking, and immobile but they do react. Isn't it too much moisture that triggers their transformation? As far as feeding beetles, maybe the shell wouldn't digest but it probably would.

i feed the mealbeetles to my golden geckos and my whites treefrogs when theyve transformed, usually the top part of the shell doesnt digest. But they seem to like them and its better than wasting the beetles.
