PhunkeyPhish Jul 03, 2004 07:55 PM

Just curious of how much an average vet clinic charges for declawing a cat. And how bout neutering the cat? Thanks

Depends on the vet and what type of surgery they use. The average cost for the non-laser surgery is $175 to $225. If they do laser surgery it's more around $275 to $350. Both of these are cheaper if you have them down when the cat/kitten is altered. Neutering depends on the state. I have found in Maine it costs about 100 dollars for a male this includes their second set of shots. I heard in Mass it's closer to $150 with no shots.
Start calling local vets that is what I did. I just asked about neutoring and if they did blood work first and how much it would cost with the shots.

Good luck,

Jaime's prices seem in range with my Vet's prices. There are cheaper places for neutering in most large cities so just call around or call and ask your local humane society.
