I would wash him again. Hopefully he didn't lick it before you realized it was on him.

well last night at like midnite he came in and we thought it was just mud but this morning i noticed it was still there so i gave him a bath.....it was either gas or oil.....i'm going to give him another bath when he comes in for the night....so he probably did lick it....It also looks like he's missing some hair on his butt...under his tail.....i'll take a pic when he comes in again and post it on here......thanx for replying to my post.

I would keep him in over the 48 hrs. Just to be save and make sure he doesn't get sick. I know how hard it is to keep a kitty indoors. But if at all possible I would try, just to be on the safe side.

I will try but i can't say that he will cause my hubby is disabled and it takes him time to get in and out the door and sometimes he'll go out or come in before i can get to the cat...I'm going to give the cat a bath in the morning and hopefully keep him in all day or i'll put him on a leash and go outside with him for a few minutes a few times during the day...well going to bed now...thanx for the advice.

He needs a real good bath and rinsing and then do keep him in, even if you have to lock his crying self in the bathroom for a couple days. On Monday I would give the Vet a call and ask his advice. Sooner if the cat seems sick in any way.

He seems fine right now and this happened sometime thursday night. He needs one more bath and he will be all set, because it is all almost out......

Glad he doesn't seem to be sick. Maybe you got it off before he decided to bath himself. Hopefully he is doing ok today.
