Anyone ever see this ?

Joe K. Oct 13, 2003 10:01 AM

My baby GTP has this mark on the head. It doesn't seem to be a blister just an area that lacks the yellow pigment. Instead its white and all the scales are there. This was the best pic I could take. This is my first chondro so I have never seen the color change in person only in photos. What do you think ? Thanks for any advise, Joe.

i have seen that on many snakes and have talked to a number of breeders concerning it and what it is is the animal is cruising looking for food and rubbing the top of it's head.just ensure a proper feeding reime is set and it will heal.hope this helps.

It's normal, i've seen it alot. One of my chondros as a baby had a similar marking, its now a yellow spot on its head.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but I wouldn't worry too much. From what I can tell, it looks a little like what this girl had at one time. It appears to be a point where several head scales merge into one. She's still a beautiful animal.

Man this photo gallery really affects the downloads. These pics are crystal clear in my files, but are really distorted on this site.

looks awesome to me...beautiful gtp.....your pic shows up perfectly clear on my pc....but i know what ya mean, i had posted a pic of a morph on another snake forum and people thought i was crazy...it just turned out that they were not seeing it the way i was so it made the snake look like a totally diff morph.
oh well
