Update on B'loney...........

Stryder Sep 05, 2004 02:47 PM

With the food allergies. I have found a man living alone in an apartment, with no other pets, who has agreed to take in B'loney, and give her all the love and attention she can get. I have agreed to provide food and pay her medical expenses. Hopefully her emotional well-being will aid in her recovery. She has been with me for 7 years, and I bottle fed her as a kitten. I hate to see her go, but I just can't give her what she needs anymore. She is with this man on a trial basis. If he can't handle her care, I will have to think of something else. He doesn't live in the same town as me, so I won't get to see her often. I am really hoping that they can give each other what they need!!

Hope this works for the cat and the man too. Good luck and let us know how she is doing in her new home.

The two of them are doing so well together that I giggle every time I think about it!! She is almost fully recovered as far as the bleeding face, has put on weight, and has reverted to a kitten!! She plays almost constantly, except when she is getting lovings from her new caretaker. It has been years since I have seen this cat actually frollic. They are both just as happy as can be together!

YAY!!

thank you so much for the update. I am glad they (the cat and man) are getting along so wonderfully. It must be nice to have that stress gone from her life. Does he have her on a certain food? How did the itchy face stop?

She is on the venison diet. Have added some deer guts into the mix to try and make it a little more balanced. Hopefully that, and relieving her life of that horrible stress of isolation will keep her on the right track. I'm still waiting with baited breath, because there have been several times that she looked like she was going to clear up, but then went back to scratching worse than ever. My hopes are high for her this time!

Well I am sending glows and keeping my fingers crossed that she is 100% better.
