Indoor/Outdoor cat, with addition to a new car

fragbox Mar 06, 2005 12:20 PM

Hello,

I did not know exactly which board to put this in, so I am putting it here to get some good help. I have a indoor and outdoor cat. She is used to going in and out as she pleases, jumping on the cars and stuff like that. Well, we just purchased a Mazda RX-8 sportscar. We do not want her on this car. THe other cars are fine, just not this one. How can we break her from getting on this car? We are worried about "shakes" as they may harm the cars paint, so any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure how to break her of jumping on your car. You could buy a cover for the car. It would not only save the paint from the cat but also from the weather elements.
The only other thing I can think of would be to try to train kitty to be an indoor only cat. I know this is hard with some cats. In the long run you cat would live a longer and healthier life.
