Cheaper fish

MikeST Oct 13, 2003 10:59 AM

I have to find a source for cheaper shiners.
My mid size guys went through $10 worth again in one night.
I go to the local bait shop and I can't afford it anymore.

I also wish I had a source for some large fish for my two bigger guys.
I'd love to see them eat a 10" - 12" fish.

Not sure where you live and what fishing regulations you have, but here are a couple of options.

Minnow Trap
Cast Net
Seine
Ultralight rod

I could catch 6-10 inch creek chubs all day on plastics if I wanted to. I find crankbaits more sporting, but if youre wanting to fill a tank fast, try small pieces of worm.
