boarding vs cat sitting

cathystupak Dec 01, 2005 10:17 AM

I have two cornish rex cats, both are 6 years. I have never left them overnight alone. We always have a house/cat sitter when we are away. For me, knowing that there is someone there for them to be around, especially at night (they have always slept with us)is a great comfort. you know, pets don't chose their owners and family, we choose them. I feel I owe them then all the love, care and security they deserve. THis has always worked for us and our pets are as happy as they can be even though we are gone from time to time. I also don't have to worry about different illnesses that they can contract when boarded. Our cats are also indoor only.

Sounds like you have a good plan in place.

I have to agree, not to mention that 17 cats and 1 dog makes it costly to board them. I have a very trusted friend who comes and cares for them on the rare occasions that I go anywhere.
