what human food to feed?

waterdragon6 May 03, 2006 08:30 PM

I heard that if you feed your cat chicken and other things instead of dry or canned cat food that its better for them, they will have a better coat of hair, and they dont eat as much of it which means not having to go to the bathroom as much. I would just like to know what human food i could feed to my cats and should it be cooked or raw.
Thank you.

Hi There,

Every cat needs a balanced diet and feeding just chicken or some other kind of meat won't meet a cat's nutritional needs.
If you really want to get into feeding a home made diet, I recommend that you get some recipes and follow them.

I'll be happy to look up some recipes for you if you like.

Mine just eat cat food. With 16 of them, cooking for their furry little selves seems a little much for me. However, all do get a taste of my human food. Pretty much whatever they think they would like. I have some that love fruit, and one that loves cookies and koolade too. But their basic meals come out of cans and sacks....big ones
